A regular pack is unmodified cannabis: about half the seedlings turn out male, half female, and it is on you to tell them apart. That extra step is exactly why breeders keep regular seeds around, because both sexes are what you need to make crosses and keep mother plants.
Flip to 12/12 and watch the nodes from week one. Females push fine white hairs (pistils); males form small round pollen sacs. Pull the males before those sacs open, unless you want them for breeding, and your grow room stays seed-free. Skip all of this with our feminized seeds, or race to harvest with our autoflowering seeds.
If you want to breed, preserve a strain or keep a mother plant, yes. For a straightforward bud harvest, feminized is simpler.
Roughly 50/50, though it varies pack to pack. Sex them in early flower and keep the females.
Many growers find regular genetics more vigorous and stable, which is one reason breeders stick with them.
Not inherently. A well-grown regular female yields like any photoperiod plant; you just start a few extra to allow for the males you remove.
