What is Bruce Banner?

Bred in Colorado from OG Kush and Strawberry Diesel, this sativa-dominant hybrid blew up when the number 3 cut won Most Potent Strain at the 2013 High Times Cannabis Cup. She's been on every "strongest strains" list since, and the THC content backs it up: from 20% in the mellower autos to a frankly silly 32% in Barney's Farm's cut.

Potency and effects: not one for lightweights

The high lands quickly, all euphoria and forward motion, brilliant for daytime sessions and creative work. Where Amnesia Haze keeps your head in the clouds, Bruce Banner shoves you off the sofa and hands you a to-do list. The buds come caked in frosty trichomes, and the smell in the jar is sweet strawberry over diesel, myrcene and limonene doing the heavy lifting with a caryophyllene bite in the Original Sensible cut. It will happily fill a room, so keep the lid on.

Growing Bruce Banner in a British setup

Indoors is where she shines here: 120-150 cm in a tent, a flowering time of 9-10 weeks for the photoperiod versions, and yields up to 400 g/m² from our own cut that reward topping and a ScrOG net. Outdoors is trickier. She can stretch past 2 m and finishes late, so without a greenhouse a British October will test your patience and your mould tolerance. Whatever you do, budget for a decent carbon filter, because from week three of flower she absolutely reeks.
