Magic mushroom spore syringes let researchers and mycology enthusiasts study Psilocybe cubensis under the microscope with ease. At Zamnesia we supply sterile, double-density syringes across a wide range of verified cubensis strains, including Golden Teacher, B+ and PES Amazonian, prepared for microscopy and educational study. Below we cover what sets a good syringe apart, how it compares to a vial or print, and which strain to pick.
Magic Mushroom Spore Syringes - Click here for more infoThe popularity of this B+ variety is directly related to the fact that this mushroom can get very big, so keep in mind to keep the substrate well-hydrated to get the most of this wonderful strain.
The Psilocybe cubensis cambodia was first discovered near the stunning Angkor Wat temple complex by a guy who was in the country filming other species of magic mushrooms. It’s our recommended fungus for inexperienced growers, being an easy species to cultivate and a nice fast grower with relatively predictable yields.
This Psilocybe cubensis variety is from the mountains of Ecuador; it’s another shroom favoured by inexperienced cultivators as it is well domesticated, grows readily and produces bigger than average caps with very dark prints. The Ecuador was originally collected in the Ecuadorean Andes in 2000. Apparently, its discoverer was told by a shaman that mountain shrooms are clearer and stronger.
It’s golden and reputed to be a teacher – it’s Golden Teacher! A classic cubensis, and very domesticated, its origin is unknown but it was probably discovered in the Gulf region of the USA. Some Golden Teachers grow to be quite large and may develop a nipple on the top of the cap. Colonization and fruiting times may be a little slower than average.
The Psilocybe cubensis Hawaii (aka Hawaiian PES or PESH) is a fast colonizing magic mushroom strain that produces heavy and big fruit-bodies with caps of 25-75mm across. Aside from producing massive flushes it is also one of the most potent strains. Sterilized rye is the perfect growth substrate for inoculation.
Found nestled among the shipwrecks of Florida's treasure coast is perhaps the greatest gem: Treasure Coast magic mushrooms! Now you can grow your own at home with this 20ml spore syringe from Mondo Grow Kits. Fast, simple and yielding great results—it's time to get cultivating.
McKennaii magic mushrooms are potentially some of the strongest in the world, and now you can grow your very own. This 20ml syringe contains enough spores to inoculate 1 or 2 grow kits, which in turn can yield a whole load of magic mushrooms.
Psilocybe cubensis A+ is an albino magic mushroom with strong visual and physical effects. Fast and fairly simple to cultivate, these spore syringes can be used to produce great yields of shrooms at home. One 20ml syringe offers enough spores for up to two inoculations!
Moby Dick magic mushrooms bring together the best of Golden Teacher and the albino A+. Potent, thought-provoking, and easy to grow, these mushrooms are suitable for beginners and advanced psychonauts alike! Each 20ml syringe from Mondo offers enough spores for up to two inoculations!
These spore syringes by Mondo contain all the spores necessary to begin cultivating PES Amazonian magic mushrooms. Known for being fast growing, high yielding and very potent, these Psilocybe mushrooms are a top choice for many shroom cultivators. These spore syringes contain enough spores to get a couple of grows started, which with a bit of luck will result in a massive crop of magic...
Double the colonization speed compared to the use of spores with the Mondo Liquid Culture. Simply inject 1ml of spores into the vial and shake once a day and after 2-14 days you will see the mycelium grow. There is no need for a sterile environment. Can be stored at 4-6°C for over a year. This is the perfect solution for mass production, preservation, and trading of cultures.

A spore syringe is a syringe pre-filled with a dense suspension of spores in a sterile solution, needle included. It is the handiest format for putting a sample on a slide: you dispense a drop and study it under the scope, and the sealed barrel keeps the rest clean. The light-brown, slightly cloudy liquid is normal, that is the spores held in suspension.
Two things matter most: sterility and spore density. Ours are filled under hygienic, clean-room conditions to keep contamination out, and they are double-density, so each sample is rich enough to see clearly under magnification. Every syringe carries a single labelled strain, so there is no guesswork about what you are examining.
Spores come in a few formats, each with its own strengths. The syringe is the quickest to sample from and the friendliest for a first look. A spore vial is a refillable glass reservoir, handy for keeping stock and filling your own syringes. A spore print is spores dried on foil, the most durable way to archive a strain. And a liquid culture syringe holds living mycelium rather than spores, a different thing entirely.
Our syringe selection is wider than the vials, from the well-documented Golden Teacher and the hardy B+ to Cambodia, Ecuador, Treasure Coast, McKennaii and PES Amazonian. Golden Teacher is the reference strain most people study first, being easy to recognise under the microscope. Each syringe is one strain, clearly labelled.
Stored cool, dark and sealed, spores stay viable for months, which is why collectors keep a labelled set on hand. Handle them with clean technique, wipe the needle and work somewhere still, and be aware they are a sample source rather than a finished setup. If you would rather have a ready-colonised product, that sits in our separate grow kit category.
