Light Buds Seeds: Big Orange Flavour, Light THC

Light Buds list both of these seeds with a cannabinoid ratio rather than a THC figure on its own. Lafanta Light is documented at between 1:1 and 1:2 THC to CBD, and Lafanta Light Auto at a balanced 1:1. As a spec, that puts the THC share low next to THC-rich genetics, with CBD matching or outweighing it. Who are Light Buds?

Light Buds are a Spanish breeder, and their own site is in Spanish and sells Lafanta Light. That strain was one of their earliest releases, and the auto arrived later as its faster sibling. Both share the same genetic base, so the real question is not which strain, it is which version of the same strain fits your grow space and schedule.

Flip the lights, or just let her run

Lafanta Light is the photoperiod, an almost pure indica (95% indica) built from Light Buds' own Cali Orange crossed with Skunk and a CBD elite clone. Flowering takes 8 weeks after you switch the lights over, and indoors that is up to 500-600g/m². Outdoors in a warm spot with plenty of sun, growers have reported 700-1000g from a single plant, which is a garden job rather than a balcony one. Lafanta Light Auto skips the flip: keep her under 18 hours of light a day from seed to harvest and she is ready in about 70 days, giving up to 400-500g/m² indoors or 40-150g per plant outside. Fixed room with a timer and a veg stage, take the photoperiod. Short summer, small tent, or plants of different ages sharing one space, take the auto.

The auto isn't stabilised yet, so expect variation

Straight from Light Buds: Lafanta Light Auto has not been fully stabilised. She is a cross of an elite feminized Lafanta Light clone with a fourth-generation autoflowering male, and until the breeders have locked in stability and speed, plants from the same pack can come out different in height, finish time, and yield. Watch for that if you are planning a tight even canopy or a scrog net, because one stretchy outlier will upset the layout. Want plants that behave the same way twice, run the photoperiod.

Sweet orange peel that hangs around

Both plants carry the same profile: refreshing orange citrus with a tangy edge and sweet fruit underneath, and that flavour lingers on the palate longer than the aroma alone suggests. In a vaporizer the citrus reads cleaner and the sweetness steps back a little. Between the two, we would start with the photoperiod Lafanta Light: bigger yields, known behaviour, and it is the cut the auto was built from in the first place.
