The name gets spelled three ways and the legend grows every year. Here are the facts worth knowing before you pick one of the five cuts above.

What Is Chemdawg?

A heavy indica-leaning hybrid with an aroma closer to a petrol station than a fruit bowl: raw fuel, sharp citrus and something skunky underneath. That gas profile made it the backbone of American cannabis breeding.

Chemdawg Genetics and Lineage

Everything starts with Chem 91, the elite clone grown from seeds that Greg Krzanowski (Chemdog himself) picked up around a 1991 Grateful Dead show. From there came Chem D, Chem 4, and eventually Sour Diesel and OG Kush. The five cuts on this page are all descendants or crosses; the original clone never left a small circle of growers.

Chemdawg vs Chemdog Spelling

Same strain, two spellings. The breeder says Chemdog, most seedbanks print Chemdawg, and Google gets asked about both every day. Buy by genetics, not by spelling.

Chemdawg Effects, THC and Aroma
