Where the Kush name comes from

The Hindu Kush range crosses Afghanistan, northern Pakistan, and northern India. Cannabis grew there wild for centuries and was worked into hash rather than smoked as flower, which is why the whole family still tastes faintly of it. Seeds travelled west with the hippie trail in the 1960s and 70s and landed in Dutch and American breeding programmes, and modern indica genetics have carried that mountain stock ever since.
