As a long-standing and hugely prominent figure in cannabis research, Dr Arno Hazekamp has been an integral part of the Dutch National Medicinal Cannabis Program (NMCP). As a "patient-inspired" researcher, Dr Hazekamp has a published PhD thesis and regularly presents his findings at international cannabis conferences such as IAMC and ICRS.
Dr Arno Hazekamp has been a trusted name in cannabis research since 2001. With an educational background in molecular biology and biopharmaceutical science, Dr Hazekamp has been an integral part of the Dutch National Medicinal Cannabis Program (NMCP), focusing on quality control, product development, and the design of new clinical trials exploring cannabis' therapeutic potential. In 2007, he published a PhD thesis on medical cannabis and the practical problems that keep it from becoming a part of modern medicine.

Today, Dr Hazekamp is an independent consultant, lecturer, activist, educator, and researcher. His research is always "patient-inspired", meaning it looks to address real-life problems being faced by cannabis patients. Dr Hazekamp regularly presents his findings at international cannabis conferences such as IAMC and ICRS, and he also hosts independent workshops, courses, and presentations. As a consultant, Dr Hazekamp has worked with leading cannabis companies such as Bedrocan, Storz & Bickel, Echo Pharmaceuticals, Eurofins-Proxy Labs, and Axim Biotechnologies to develop a wide variety of products and technologies.
