Copelandia Man in Black earns its nickname the moment it fruits. Despite the ominous name, this Panaeolus cyanescens lineage grows exceptionally white, slender mushrooms that cluster densely on the tray, a striking contrast to the name on the spore print. That print turned up in a Dutch breeder's collection in 2024 already labelled Man in Black, or MIB, with no record of who named it or why. It now sits alongside other Copelandia lines in the same breeder's selection, a variety with pedigree but no origin story. Panaeolus cyanescens is known across the board as exceptionally potent, well beyond standard Psilocybe cubensis varieties, which puts Man in Black firmly in very strong territory. This is not a Golden Teacher or a Mexican. It's suited to growers and psychonauts who already know what a strong trip feels like and want to go further, not to anyone taking their first steps with magic mushrooms. Respect the strength before you harvest

Copelandia's reputation for potency isn't exaggerated, and it shapes everything about how you should approach the harvest. Once harvested, eat the mushrooms within a couple of days if refrigerated, or dry them to keep for longer. These products are for adults aged 18 and over.
