Copelandia Blue Spring Red Spore Grow Kit (Stealthbox)
Reddish spores, orange fruiting bodies and streaks of blue mycelium, Blue Spring Red Spore earns its nickname fast. This Panaeolus cyanescens grow kit sits at the top of the potency ladder, well above a standard cubensis kit. It's a selected Dutch lineage, built for experienced growers only.
A Copelandia lineage for growers who already know the ropes
Blue Spring Red Spore (BSRS) is a cultivation lineage of Panaeolus cyanescens, the species better known to most growers by its old name, Copelandia. It isn't an off-the-shelf print. The spores were germinated and the culture established before BSRS went through a Dutch breeder's multi-generation selection process, retaining cultures that showed a strong, distinctive expression. What came out the other end is a kit with reddish to orange spores and fruiting bodies, plus patches of blue running through the mycelium, which is exactly where the nickname The Colorful One comes from.
Here's the bit that matters most before you add this to the basket: Copelandia is exceptionally potent, sitting well above the Psilocybe cubensis varieties most people cut their teeth on. This isn't a kit for a first grow or a first harvest. It's suited to experienced psychonauts who already understand what a strong variety asks of them, both in the growing and in the taking. If you're still working through a Golden Teacher or McKennaii kit, finish that education first.
What you get, and what the harvest asks of you
What you get:
- 1 grow kit of fully colonised horse dung
- 1 grow bag
- 1 cup of topsoil
That casing soil is the giveaway that this isn't a standard cubensis kit, Copelandia runs its own protocol. For full step-by-step detail, check the Copelandia Grow Kit Manual.
Once harvested, the mushrooms are the psychoactive part, not the kit itself, and given the strength of this species, dosing deserves proper respect. Rather than quoting gram figures here, use the Magic Mushroom Dosage Calculator to work out a sensible starting point. Eat the fresh harvest within a couple of days if you keep it refrigerated, or dry it to make it last longer. A couple of honest downsides worth knowing upfront: Copelandia can be a touch slower to establish than a straightforward cubensis kit, and later flushes tend to taper off. Neither is a flaw, just what this variety does.
Advisory information
Everything above describes what growers commonly report, not a guaranteed outcome, and this kit is for adults aged 18 and over only. Given how strong Copelandia is, set aside a full day with nothing else on the calendar, the experience runs for several hours, and never drive or operate machinery afterwards. Start with a low dose and don't go beyond what you've worked out as sensible. At this strength, a sober, trusted trip sitter isn't optional, and taking it alone isn't a good idea. Stick to a calm, familiar setting you already feel comfortable in. Difficult moments, anxiety, confusion, a wobble of fear, can crop up and they do pass; changing the music, the lighting, or just your position in the room usually helps it along. Don't mix this with alcohol or any other psychoactive substance, and don't combine it with antidepressants or anything else affecting serotonin, including SSRIs, MAOIs, lithium, or tramadol, as that combination can be genuinely dangerous; check with a doctor first if you're on any medication. This isn't suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with a heart condition, or if you or close family have a history of psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or similar serious mental health conditions. None of this is a treatment for any medical or psychological condition.
