French Cookies: A Cookie Strain Born By Accident
French Cookies started life as a happy accident, a phenotype spotted in a bag of Platinum Girl Scout Cookies seed and kept for the way it grew. That Platinum Cookies lineage gives it a dessert-sweet base and dense resin coverage, but the sativa side pushes through hard. TH Seeds settled on a 60% sativa / 40% indica build, so this leans toward daytime energy rather than sofa lock. It's a strain that rewards curiosity, which fits the way it was found.
From Deep Green to Near-Black, and Barely Any Fuss
Grow difficulty sits at low to moderate, so newer growers can take this on without too many surprises. Indoors it settles at a manageable 125-130cm, compact enough that light stress training covers most of what it needs without a full SCROG setup. Outdoors it stretches further, 130-160cm, and does well in temperate and Mediterranean climates. It carries high resistance to pests and cold, with moderate resistance to mould, useful if your season runs damp or unpredictable. As flowering progresses, foliage can shift from deep green into purple and near-black shades, a visual reward you don't get from every cookie cross. Flowering runs 9-10 weeks, a straightforward photoperiod schedule, with harvest landing around October outdoors. Indoors expect 350-450g/m², a solid return for the effort involved. Outdoors, plants can produce 450-600g each, a heavy autumn haul for anyone growing a few plants in the garden. Respond well to gentle training, but she doesn't like aggressive pruning, so go easy on the shears.
Sweet Dough, Then Grape, Then a Gassy Finish
The aroma opens sweet and earthy, cookie dough fresh out the mixing bowl. On the exhale it shifts toward grape, before a diesel edge cuts through and leaves a gassy, kushy finish that lingers. Limonene, myrcene and caryophyllene sit behind that shift, part citrus zing, part herbal weight, part spice. The high lands clear-headed and creative, happy without tipping into heaviness, and sociable enough for an afternoon with friends rather than a solo wind-down. This is a strain for staying sharp, not switching off. These seeds suit growers after a distinctive plant with a flavour arc that keeps unfolding, right through to the last exhale.
