For soil, this is 6.0–7.0; for inert media and hydro, it is 5.5–6.5. These strips offer a very easy way to quickly test the pH of your water or media, allowing you to adjust as necessary. Keep a Measuring Cup next to them, so the volume of your water is as carefully measured as its pH.
