The Jack Herer strain profile

Bred by Ben Dronkers' Sensi Seeds in the Netherlands and named, with his blessing, after the activist who wrote The Emperor Wears No Clothes, the strain combines Haze with Northern Lights #5 and Shiva Skunk. Multiple High Times Cannabis Cup wins followed.

Aroma and effects

Amnesia lifts you higher; Jack keeps you steadier. Expect a clear, focused, creative high with none of the fog, wrapped in pine, cracked pepper and a sweet herbal edge from its terpinolene-led profile. Resin production is generous enough that your grinder will need cleaning more often than usual.

Growing Jack in Britain

Indoors is the reliable route: a flowering time of 8-10 weeks for the photoperiod cuts at around 20% THC on the strongest feminized versions, with Greenhouse Seeds' version yielding up to 800 g/m². Outdoors, a British summer is workable for the autoflowering versions, done 8-11 weeks after sprouting, while the photoperiods prefer a greenhouse.

Feminized, autoflowering or regular?

Feminized photoperiods give the biggest harvests. The autos, six of our ten versions, carry Ruderalis genes and trade some yield for speed and simplicity. The original Sensi cut is regular, so expect males and plan to sex your plants: extra work, but it's the closest thing to growing the piece of history itself.
