Soma is a single grower who moved from New York to Amsterdam, kept his hands in the soil, and only puts his name on lines he has run for years. Soma got into cannabis at 18, started growing in the early seventies, and turned that into a breeding project rather than a business plan. He works from Amsterdam, treats the plant as sacred, and writes about growing in a way most breeders never bother with. His pheno hunts run long, so his strains tend to be stable and forgiving rather than flashy.

Amnesia Haze is the psychedelic sativa of the group, crisp and fruity, and it stretches tall. Watch out for the flowering time, it's long, and the buzz will flatten anyone new to smoking. NYC Diesel smells like ripe red grapefruit, sharp and tart, with a cerebral lift and a bit of body weight. Somango (a Jack Herer x Big Skunk Korean cross, once called Soma #5) is the mango one and the most flavour led. Buddha's Sister tastes of tart cherry candy and its fluffy buds shrug off mould, so if it's your first grow we'd start there over Amnesia Haze.
