Incense Sai Baba Nag Champa
Satya Sai Baba Nag Champa incense is one of the most famous of the world - it is hand rolled onto a bamboo stick and is particularly popular in the US. Each stick weighs about a gram and consists of a special blend of oils, flowers, natural herbs and resins. The aroma is rich, sweet, musky and intense. What to Know Before You Light Your First Stick
Most people burn incense wrong the first time: they light the tip and leave it in flame. Don't. Hold the tip in a flame for a few seconds, then blow it out so the end glows orange and smoulders. That slow smoulder is where the scent comes from. An open flame just eats through the stick in minutes and gives you grey smoke that smells of very little.
Sticks, Cones or Backflow: Pick the Format First

Sticks and cones are the ready-to-light options, while loose powder and raw resin are the slower, more hands-on formats that need a heat source under them. Deciding between those four is the quickest way to narrow down everything else on this page.
Sticks are the default, and a standard one gives you roughly 30 to 60 minutes of scent from a single light. Dhoop cones, like the Sai Baba Nag Champa Dhoop Cones, burn hotter and shorter, so they fill a room faster and are handy if you only want ten minutes of smoke. Backflow cones are the odd ones out: they have a hollow core, so the smoke sinks and pours downward over a shaped burner such as the Backflow Incense Holder Blue Waterfall. Choosing an Incense Holder or Burner
Match the burner to the format: backflow burners for hollow-core cones, ash catchers for sticks, and charcoal discs for powder and resin. We stock all three, so you can order the burner in the same basket as the incense.

Nag Champa is what most people mean when they say incense: sweet, powdery, warm sandalwood with a sticky resin edge.
